What the hell is wrong with you? What does being fond of a damn system have to do with a Halo "ANIME" ...NOTHING! thats what.
Im entitled to my opinion, if they made one of God of War i'd still LOL@ It, some games should never be made into freaking anime, and Halo aswell as god of war, Uncharted and what have you should stay away it ruins the genre of japanense animation.
I think your the one abit to loyale to MS given your post record in the overall, so dont judge unless you really are "neutral" ...
As for the picture, it really doesn't look bad, but man... what the hell?...

Haha, I was kinda cautious / skeptical too, but the artstyle is decent so far... it really depends on the budget though, animation quality suffers when animator's wants to cut budget by slowing / reusing frames. And the unimportant episodes generally gets farmed out which means quality can differ from episode to epsiode...
Thankfully, MS has a truckload of money so this should be ace, I'm hoping for a primarily action series.... call me a brainless action whore if you want... but really, I want ACTION with decent plot... not PLOT with good action xD

Well said, infact stating it that way it almost seems interesting, hopfully they do well and MS pays the big bucks.

Well thankfully Halo has a great plot and lots of Action. So we should all be happy on bothsides of that fence.
That 2nd pic has got me well excited. Cant wait.

Come on man. You cant tell me that. I'm sorry if your genuine, but it's not a coincidence that ONLY PS3 fans came out instantly in this thred with negative comments. You know as well as I do, there are many fanboys that will hate on it just because it has Halo in the thread title. You know it.
Now if it was a Gears Of War Anime I'd be worried. That wouldn't work. But Halo has so much potential for an animation.

It's kinda ironic that I'm not a big Halo (game) fan but I have read several books and am fairly interested in the lore... yes it has a very rich history (far more so than what the plot of the game contains) and I like it so much that I actually read halo fanfiction (and some of them are scarily good, including a novel quality halo/forgotten realm crossover)... weird.

Yeah. Awesome stuff. They need to draw on all of that to make it special. Halo games are only Masterchiefs story from after Reach. There is so much more to be told. People who say Halo is being milked don't really know how deep it is. For instance Halo Reach next year has the potential to completely be the best Halo game by a mile. The fall of Reach book was pure win. The game as long as it sticks closely to the book will be 20/10. LOL.

Im basing my opinion on the fact that i never really saw much story in the Halo series that needs more fleshing out, i mean it would make more sense to make an anime of Final Fantasy XIII at this rate, or maybe another already "japanese" type of game ala Valkyria Chronicles or Magna Carta II which is infact a 360 exclusive so dont use Valkyria on me please...
I do agree with ya man, but i dunno... guess i'll be abit more open on the subject but... right now it looks like Power Rangers to me.
@mibuokami- I agree, although i LOVED Halo 1 (original on Xbox/PC) but stopped giving a damn after 2, just how is the "lore" of it all, sort of interested but to lazy to make any effort on the subject of its story.
Mainly due to the fact i never take FPS games storys as an RPG...

ok, now i'm uber hyped for this.
it may be great movie/series. it doesn't have to be Master Chief story - this may be a side story simillar to Animatrix and that would be cool. if 5 different studios are making it i wouldn't count that out. i would like to see different takes on Halo universe made by japanese animators as an OVA series.
