480p native screen? Is there that kind of screens? Yes, the wii graphics is the issue here. I can't stand those jaggies at all.

Yes. Any ED/HD CRT can display 480p natively, and there are 480p LCDs too (though those are more rare).

Did you play games before this gen? Could you stand the graphics then?

What is your point? I was happy with graphics back then but I fail to see why I should stand that kind of quality now. Care to explain?

If you don't like Wii graphics don't pretend it has anything to do with HDTVs. Just sell your Wii or something.

And what does that have to do with your previous post? Wii games look quite good on a small crt  but not on my lcd. I'd say that has a lot to do with HDTV's.

That is a reason to sell a console? Wow.

I can recommend it.
The speeders level is such good fun. Try doing it with boost on all the time.

I remember when it came out and I said if only the films space scenes looked this good.
It does look better than the film. Will be a long time before a game manages to do that again.

It helps that the films were over 20 years older than the game.

If a game was made now about a film 20 years old (and the game was about bits without human models needed) then it too would look better than the film.

Yeah I know that I was just...

Forget it.

HDTVs are not the problem... if anything, your TV may be too big or you sit too close to it, which results in noticing the details like jaggies more. This of course assuming your HDTV is upscaling the image correctly.

Regarding selling the console... you are the one said you "shouldn't stand" this kind of graphics... Make up your mind, you can either stand the graphics or not.

Yeah, right. I just don't have those jaggies when I am using PC or 360 with the same screen. Gee.. it must be because my screen is too big or I am sitting too close it because I notice the flaws on graphics. It certainly is not because wii games do not have any AA.

I can stand wii graphics on a small screen. Really, no problem there.

As much as I agree that you can notice a lot of graphical flaws on Wii games regardless of the TV you use, I can honestly say that I have never had these flaws make a game any less enjoyable because when I'm playing the game and not just watching a cut scene I never notice them. To this day I can still go back and enjoy ancient 2D and 3D PC or console games and still get sucked into the gameplay enough that I never (really) notice the graphics at all ... In a lot of ways it is similar to reading a book, and I never pay attention to the words or the font that they're printed in I'm only focused on the images in my head of what is happening.

Manos if you're going to keep misreading my posts, forget it. I didn't say the Wii's AA isn't a problem.

@Manos, obviously you didn't read my post. Your PC or X360 outputting at 480p is not he same as the Wii outputting at 480p. I can grab two TVs and the larger TV looks a lot better than the smaller TV I have when displaying the Wii at 480p. My small TV looks great with my DVD player at 480p, and looks the same on the larger TV. As I said before, not all 480p signals are created equal, and there are occasions where a signal is not compatible with a given TV.

So I'll say it again, Just because your PC and X360 work, does not mean that your TV has a good upscaller, because obviously there are better ones that handle the Wii properly.

Honestly, I don't even know why I'm posting in here, or why this thread is even still alive :-/

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

That's what I have been saying, the fault is on the wii and not my tv.

Actually, it is a combination of both. As I said, I've used TVs that work perfectly fine at 480p.
