Forums - General - Anybody watch anime on Hulu?

So anybody that doesn't know about Hulu (who doesn't at this point) go to hulu.com to watch alot of free TV shows including a fair number of anime's (looks like it has a bit over 30 to choose from).

Anyway, I was wondering if anybody here has seen alot of these and would be able to make some recomendations.

I'm watching Mushi-shi which is pretty cool. I love the calm subdued tone, and it's got some interesting art work in it.

I watch Naruto on occasion. Good pulp anime.

I just got into Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood which is frikkin awesome. I'm just about caught up on the episodes which is disapointing, because I will have to wait and watch one a week. But the music, story, characters are all top notch. The individual episode storylines are fantastic, creepy as hell and often emotional. I mean the one episode where the guy is trying to make talking Chimera...that was creepy as hell. Really love this one.

I've been watching old episodes of the original slayers but I saw most of that long ago, and it's mostly just nostalgia. I haven't checked out Slayers Next, dunno anything about it.

So does anybody know the Anime's on Hulu and if any are good?

I tried watching Naruto when they first put it on but it was subtitled and I don't know Japanese.

Are the others in English? I need something good to watch, I normally put something from Hulu on to fall asleep, or South Park Studios!

Currently Playing:  Saints Row 2 | Battlefield 2 | Company of Heroes

Recently Beaten: Gears of War | Super Mario Galaxy | Darwinia | MGS4 | Sam and Max Ep. 4, Portal | Mirror's Edge | Uncharted | Mass Effect

Looking Forward to: Alan Wake | Splinter Cell : Conviction | The Last Guardian | Batman: Arkham Asylum | SMG2 | Mass Effect 2 |

I avoid sites that make me watch Ads. So I'm not helpful...and I'm about to watch the new FMA...

Former something....

I'd also like to say, that I think a lot of studios use Hulu the wrong way.

Most put the 4-5 recent episodes on there, that's great if you watch a show and missed it. I'm the type of person though, that won't start watching a show unless I can watch it from the beginning. If they put all the episodes on Hulu or just online somewhere, I would watch from the beginning, and if it's a good show, start watching every week on the TV.

ABC gets it with LOST, I hope others pick up on it.

Unless it's on some sort of bizarre principle, I would say Hulu is better than 99% of sites that try to make you few ads. They are super short and not particularly intrusive in anyway. Beats the hell out of watching TV.

Also, if FMA=full metal alchemist, you are in for a treat. Damn that show is awesome.

They're really good about anime with that. I mean they have hundreds of episodes of naruto, and short anime series they just have all 20+ episodes. Full Metal Alchemist they have all the episodes and update weekly with the new one.

And seriously just read the subtitles. You're missing out on a hell of alot of good shows if you only watch things that are dubbed.

I prefer downloading over streaming. And doesn't Hulu only offer dubs? And of only a few anime titles?

i rather buy the series to support anime, but if it doesn't get licesened quickly i just do download.

Actually by far and large they only offer subs. They have a few dubs here and there, but they are few and far between. And their collection is modest at the moment, but growing. I think I counted 30 something titles a few minutes ago, and that's why I'm asking what's good and not on the list. I'm eyeing black blood brothers (subbed, they only have 1 dub episode), does anyone know if that's anygood?
