Forums - Gaming - What is the most hated video game sequel?

Surprising no one said Resident Evil 4! It means it isn't that hated at all, and I like it, it have more replay value than any other in franchise.

Final Fantasy X-2

FFX was one of my favorite games. Giving us this tripe (and FFXII) has made me really apprehensive about Square-Enix

@Lord Flashhear  I beat the game as well and maxed out my character but it seemed to me a lot was left out and it was only half a game which is what I felt ruined it.  It was alright and the only reason I maxed my character is cause I like level grinding.

I got it new a few weeks after it came out for £20 so I can't complain.

It did feel some things were left out but I enjoyed what was there enough to not feel ripped off and to want the sequel.
Co-op was a lot of fun for me.

You are so wrong, I can't express how wrong you are in words. Zelda II is the best Zelda ever. You just aren't hardcore enough to beat it.

Now, if you want to talk about a bad sequel, go figure out what came after Sonic & Knuckles. I'm sure it was horrid and Sonic has never been the same since.

*goes off and lives in fantasy world with the rest of the real hardcore gamers*

I played it and beat it twice.

I played most Zelda titles and this is one of two I do not like.

Devil may cry 2.

Way too much hate for Chrono Cross in here, one of my favorite games of all time!!

Worst Sequels are Double Dragon 3, Castlevania 2, Wizards and Warriors 3 and DMC 2

All crash bandicoot games after Naughty Dog sold the rights to it. "Crash Bash" was good, though.

Zelda :Wind Waker - I still remember how the internet exploded with suicidal GameCube fanboys when Nintendo announced a cel-shaded zelda.
