Talk about starting off with one foot in the grave. Some how the entertainment industry does not comprehend how utterly disconcerting changing actors or voice talent really is to the audience. You can sum it up in one word creepy, and no viewers do not eventually get used to it.
I am not blaming the voice actors. I also highly doubt they are asking for something extraordinary. The reality is that as a profession they are severely undervalued, and that is why you find voice actors doing dozens of shows a year. Compare that to live action performers on television and in the movies. The problem is they are viewed as cheap labor, and studios want to pay them peanuts. Oh and someone who can fabricate a hundred voices that sound radically different. I am sorry that person does have talent.
