Originally I thought I should make a thread to ask people what songs they liked from different anime OPs and OSTs.

To accompany that, I thought it would be a good place to list my anime songs of the week in chronological order.

If you like anime, chances are, you like JPOP and anime songs. There is a difference. Get it right noob.

Week 1: Rap wa kan no tamashii da! - "Rap wa kan no tamashii da!" by Iwasaki for Gurren Lagann
I picked this song because it has an awesome hip hop feel combined with some unparalleled Engrish. 4Chan f**s will know this song or it's lyrics in some part by the b/tards /internet trolls who spam "Row Row Fight the power" in every other 4chan channel when /b gets shut down. Enjoy!

Week 2: "Future in My Hands" - "Future in my hands" sung by Aimee B of Rungran for the "Devil May Cry" anime series
I have a love-hate relationship with this song. It's kind of girly and "girl-power"-ish in a late 90's sort of way. However, the sheer amount of noise and composition in this song is really energizing and powerful. Being the tool that I am, I like to play this song when I'm running out of steam while at the gym or when I'm in a sour/tired mood. I have a huge collection of those songs, but this one deserves to be higher on the list because of the theme of the song is to take control and live it up by freeing yourself of societal structure. Plus it's videogame related. Of course there's also a line of heart broken stuff, which is to be expected from a female singer. ^_^

Week 3: "Danzai no Hana"-"Guilty Sky", sung by Riyu Kosaka for the Claymore series

This is a song I usually play on repeat for about 10-11 times just cuz it's so epic. It's the song to Claymore, a really polished anime with a great story and tone. Claymore is also a manga, and equally as good as the anime. Basically, the story is basically about an organization of highly trained monster slayers. The main character, Clare, belongs to the organization but then rebels, of course, for the sake of justice and her friends.

Canta Per Me of Noir.  It is a song of death and farewell.  Enjoy.

A new update for anime song of the week. The song is called "Danzai no Hana" in Japanese, which for some reason is translated into "Guilty Sky" even though, from my knowledge of the language, it means "Flower of conviction". It is sung by Riyu Kosaka.

Hm... "Danzai no Hana" is okay.  It sounds very nice a couple places.

Mezame of My Hime.  Songs like Mezame, Ensei, Gakuten-Ou Kenzan, and Duran Shoukan make the My Hime OST one of the best I've ever listened to.
