I notice that the first game in the series sold just about 2.5 copies worldwide. The game was released two years ago. In my opnion, I felt that the first game received a lack of promotion. Of course, shots of the gameplay were shown in that "Ladies and Gentleman" PS3 ad. However, the game didn't receive enough advertisment to be a huge seller. Maybe I am overthinking things but I just can't understand why such a popular game on the PS3 has such low sales two years after its release. I mean its good the game sold 2 million copies worldwide. Most new franchise titles can't sell past 1 million. I see the first game probably sell 2.8 million copies lifetime.
Anyways, Lets get on with the second game. I've been on this site for awhile now and I have to say Uncharted 2 is probably the most anticpated IP on the Playstation 3. Over the past year, there have been threads just praising its graphical improvements from the first game. I see this game doing well in first week sales. However, that can only happen if this game receives well promotion and good advertisements. I would really like this game to sell more than 400k first week WW and 3 million lifetime. I think Sony is completely behind this upcoming game and hoping they will really work hard with Naughty Dog on making this game one of these most successful IPs on the PS3.
So lets hope this game receives good ADs!
TO GOD BE THE GLORY
