If you can't run this (GPU-wise) then you will be locked out of lots of stuff. My guess is your rig must be 3-4 years old in which case you got some good use out it thus far. |
I'm actually getting it off my uncle who got it off my cousin. The computer has 3.4 GHZ for processing speed and nearly 3 GB of ram. The graphics card is a Nvidia Geforce Go 6800 Ultra. Would upgrading it be possible and easy and would it run well with everything else in the computer?

Well you are fine on the RAM, and a 6800 Ultra should be good enough to run it at a lowish rez say 800x600 or 1024x whatever, though you won't be able to max anything out. The only question is the CPU. My guess is it is not dual core since your GPU is from early 2004 or so. So technically you are below the specs, but I have found in the past that CPU requirements are generally much less strict than the others so I would totally test the demo. As far as an upgrade goes, is this a laptop? I'm assuming it is thanks to the 6800 GO. If so your options are limited, except the ram which it sounds like you maxed out already. Personally I would say you should be able to run it but you can always test it on a game with similar requirements or wait for the demo.
I hope that helps.
