Well after mgs2 raiden lived with rosemary but he thought the relationship wouldn't work because of his history and he started drinking and got into fights and eventually left rosemary.

later raiden heard about big mama and told her where to find big boss's remains in exhange for info about sunny. Later they rescued sunny with paradise lost (big mama's group) he left sunny to otacon's and snake's care and left with the paradise lost.

Later he went to get big boss's remains (actually solidus's remains) with paradise lost from the patriots but the operation failed and raiden got captured.

While he was a prisoner, patriots made some exoskeletal enhancement surgery on him and he ended up in that synthetic body you can see in mgs4.

Later paradise lost rescued raiden and they also succeeded in getting big boss's remains. After that he just vanished and came back after big mama contacted him and told him to help snake at south africa.

So the storyline will take place either after the escape or at the point where they rescue sunny (he wouldn't be in that synthetic suit)

I just hate spinoffs like this because I allready know where they lead, with luck we might see raiden's version of the mgs4. :/

Definitely not better than MGS4

I expect the game to be a top seller. I am thinking it will be bundled. I see this game storyline picking up somewhat after the MGS4 and it will really revolving around Raiden's life.
