It SHOULD sell 5-6 million but it won't.

3-4 mill is more realistic.

One thing to keep in mind is MGS4 only sold 4 million


Now MGS has a huge fanbase, but it also doesnt appeal to new/younger gamers who didnt play the previous MGS games.

Uncharted doesnt have the huge fanbase of MGS, but it appeal to everyone.


Then again, MGS4 had almost ZERO advertising in America and still sold well.

It all really depends on how much Sony advertises it. If they push U2 as much as they should and go all out with the ads, it could even sell more than MGS4.

It should hopefully double the first game's sales.. they screwed up with resistance (potential HALO like ip for sony with original selling nearly 4million copies, sequel less than 2) and they can screw up with Uncharted as well..

All main Halo games sold well over 5 million, Resistance was never gonna get that popular, but it has potential to be a 3-4 million seller for Sony.

 

Resistance 2 was a significant change from Resistance 1 and they saw COD4 and tried to do the me too approach. It'll still sell 3 million after bundles, holidays, greatest hits, etc...but it's not gonna reach Halo like level of success.
