Since you already own a PS3 right now I and it seems like you're planning on buying one later again, I suggest getting a Wii. It's got a ridiculous number of exclusives and a seriously great line-up of released/upcoming games.

Just look at the lists of games for the systems and find out which ones you want more.
And don't sell your PS3 at Gamestop, you would get what? $150? And your PS3 is BC right?
So it would go for MUCH more on eBay.
Ok, I'll play along and make a great list of Wii games that you can buy fairly cheap. I'm not going to include Galaxy, kart or Zelda in my list of 10 games as they are obvious choices.
1) Punch-Out!! - Great twitch fighting game, lots of gameplay and looks great. If you liked the NES version you should love the Wii version
2) Metroid Prime Trilogy - Comes out late august, comes with all 3 games updated to use the Wii Remote IR and motion. Possibly the best deal ever.
3) Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - If you like strategy games, this is one of the best. You don't have to play the GC game before this one, but if you can get your hands on it, but Path of Radiance first.
4) Mario Strikers Charged - Extremely fun 4-player arcade soccer. I've had more fun with this game than most the other ones in my collection
5) Traumer Center (either one, but New Blood has co-op) - Great series, great use of IR. Very difficult and rather weird. I've never understood how they have shattered bottles in their arms, but no visible cuts on their skin.
6) Godfather: Blackhand edition - If you can find it, it is the best sandbox game I've ever played. And not because it has incredible gameplay or anything amazing like that (although I did think it was solid gameplay). However, it has the best motion control in gaming. You beat people to death, strangle them, shove them off buildings, all with your hands and it feels natural
7) Mercury Meltdown Revolution (or any marble game) - perfect use for the Wii Remote, and they are great if you like those types of games. Much better than playing with a joystick in my opinion.
8) Little King's Story - I haven't played it yet, but it looks beautiful and has gotten a lot of really good reviews. I will be buying it soon after it comes out. You can also read this - http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=69128
9) Super Paper Mario - Although most hated it because it wasn't an RPG, I loved it because it was a 2D (sometimes 3D) platformer. It also had a lot of story, so that is hit/miss depending on if you like it or not. You also get to play as Luigi, Peach, and Bowser
10) Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles - I love light-gun games, so I had to list one. There are a few good ones to choose from, so just pick your favorite background setting.
I didn't list a lot of games that I think are worth your time playing, but I feel those games listed above are definitely worth it. There are also lots of great sports games like Tiger Woods 10, or Grand Slam Tennis that use the WM+ along with some cool balance board games like Shaun White Snowboarding or TV Party. Also, I left out the WiiWare and VC games as I don't own many, but there are some good ones like World of Goo. Overall, if you have a PS3 unless you want some X360 exclusives I think a Wii is the better second console.

| im_sneaky said: This may be OT, but i realized we all say "an xbox" instead of "a xbox" because it sounds better... but grammatically isn't it supposed to be "a xbox" ONTOPIC: Get a 360. The games 360 has that ps3 doesn't make up a better library then the Wii. |
I'm not an expert here but it really comes down to pronunciation, not just the simple vowel rule people are taught in grade school. So x actually sounds like "ex" in xbox, which causes it to be "an x box."
Other examples of this are a lot of h words. "an hour" since hour has a silent h and sounds like it starts with o.
Hope that helps!
OT: Honestly, I think you'll do well with either, but since you already have the ps3, the Wii introduces the widest selection of new games that are currently unaccessible to you.
thanks guys, I'm going to pick up the wii. Nord pretty much convinced me. theres basically no games on the 360 that i cant get on the ps3 that i would enjoy.
What about halo odst and halo reach? Surely there must be an xbox 360 exclusive that you must want besides the ones in your list.
If you have a PS3, or will have a PS3 I suppose, I'd go for a Wii. Wii + one of the HD twins >>> both HD twins.
I would say pick up a 360 now, and then pick up a PS3 Slim at a later time, and go PS360! Get all sorts of kick ass games!
