I mean this day and age when you see that kind of score unless you are a fan of said game chances are you will avoid it.

Which is unfortunate really as you are possibly missing out on a OK game in some cases.

I mean I have played good games that got around the 7 mark and played terrible games that got around the 7 mark.

So my advice for what it is worth, is if you like a particular franchise and the latest installment gets the dreaded 7 go for it anyway.

If you like the genre, give it a go, I love the Dynasty Warrior franchise for example and that never get over 7 reviews (6 is generous at times) but I still buy them :)

or just use your own opinion on what game is good or what game is bad rather than letting someone else decide it for you

Lost Odyssey was rated 7.5 on gamespot, but I loved it because I'm a big fan of turn based RPGs. Valkyrie Profile was given a 6 I believe on the same site, and I loved that game as well, because I'm a huge fan of strategy RPGs.

A lot of games that I love have been given 7's, so my advice is the same as OP, and if you're a fan of a certain genre, you will probably enjoy the game even though it has "only" gotten a 7 (which is a very good score btw).

I've enjoyed game at 6 and below and hated games rated 9 and 10.

If you go by reviews alone you are missing out on a lot of great games.

Ratchet and Clank: TOD was rated 7.5 on gamespot (which is bullshit), yet its one of the best platforming games this gen.

Review numbers 'suck' most of the times, just read m and try to make up your own mind whether or not you would like the game.
-1 for graphics.... so Fucking what... If i wanted real life graphics i'd go outside and open my fucking eyes...

I was the same with MOH airborne.

Reviews were hard but had played all games in the franchise.

I loved it and actually enjoyed it more than COD modern warfare. (sp I must add) I dont do online.
