Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Why the Conduit bombed

Man, The Conduit only sells 160k, while a casual game like Wii Fit sells over 50 million.

There really are no hardcore gamers left on the Wii.

Wow, I'm hardly ever on here and I caught the Sarcasm.

I own all of lastgen systems as of October 2008. (Finally got a Dreamcast)

I own every currentgen system except PS3.

This is a rare treat amp. I haven't seen you start a thread in ages.

Maybe the voice should have been done by bruce campbell?

amp, This joke thread isn't really funny... especially since averyone is actually taking it seriously... Either arguing that you're wrong, or totally agreeing... It's truly sad how obvious the joke was...

I don't think anybody is taking it seriously lcec, some people are probably just off topic. Should everyone just say "haha" or something? And look at who is commenting on the sales, ...noobs.

I'm glad I have amp to point out what games suck, and which ones don't. Personal hero.

Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.

Notice that the Conduit has sold the least amount of copies out of these four?  How can it not be considered a flop?  It doesn't matter that the other three games had much, much, much, much, much, much higher budgets.  It just matters that it sold less.  Also, the fact that the Conduit was only released in America and the others were released world wide isn't of any relevance either.

Wait what? You really can't ignore that fact. Less budget means less sales are required to draw equal profit. Not to mention the games you compared to were much higher rated and better games due to the bigger budget. Why not compare it to something on wii that REALLY flopped. You don't think its significant that they probably made profit already in the first two weeks when the rule with wii games is that majority of sales occur over time rather than the first week.

You are all wrong, the only reason conduit bombed was because it lacked "wii," "super," or "Mario" in the title. I am sure HVS already realizes this and has already chosen the name "Super Conduit Wii 2" as the title for the next game.

Also HVS should have realized that Ford was a struggling car company and thus renamed the main character to Mr. Toyota.

95% of gamers don't know they are noobs, the 5% who do won't be noobs for long

He was being sarcastic. If someone points out a flaw in one's own argument, and then pretends it doesn't matter, in that particular way, it's sarcasm. See Stephen Colbert.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs
