Forums - General - Why Do People Like Disney So Much?

I hope that when SciFiBoy is criticizing the animation, he realizes that most Disney movies were made way before the Simpsons. Take Pinocchio, for example, which was released during World War II (1940).

I also hope that when ScifFiBoy is criticizing the animation, he realizes that even though there is practically half a century separating Pinocchio and The Simpsons, Pinocchio is still more fluidly animated than just about any Simpsons episode ever (most likely all of them though, minus the movie of course).

Hell when it comes to fluidity, artistic direction, and perspective (in both senses of that word), I'd say Pinnochio whips the Hell out of the Simpsons Movie. I guess fluidity might be argued, but almost nothing else about them are comparable.

I read a lot of good points. But frankly I feel like listening to Aladin and Junglebook songs now

Oh man, if only...

I love me some Disney.

I recently watched Sleeping Beauty with my almost 2 year old niece and was amazed by how good the battle between the prince and Malificent was.

and SB is from the lates 50s!!!!

Disney is (or at lest was) the king of animation.
