Actually, the fact that China HASN'T gotten WOTLK proves how full of crock this number is, since WOLK launched with over 2.8 million sales in 24 hours, and was numero uno forever on the sales charts, showing that those aren't ghost accounts. The Chinese government tried to stiffle the game, but failed, and are now going to direct assaults on it, but that too will fail.

The Chinese gouverment doesn't fail, why would they fail over a stupid little game? If they want this game out for what ever reason then so it will happen. Who they(the chinese people) gonna call?

If they go riot then they will get killed by the army like in 1989 :)

they should made a new WoW with more graphical powers.

Why would they do this ?

A huge percentage of the Wow player base actually plays this on old computers ( and often can't afford to replace their computer).

I don't think you guys realize that one of the reason for Wow success is that it is actually a very cheap hobby for people with a lot of time on their hands...

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

Who's talking about the chinese government falling? I'm talking about their desire to promote local games over WOW, and that's it, and that'swhat going to fail, not some wide ranging failure you're inferring to...

I said fail, not falling. Learn to read. If China really wanted WoW to be gone then it would be gone, simple as that. But I see no reason for them to do something like that.

China has some problems with Gaming freaks.

At this day you have millions who really live in the internet cafe. They go to work and with the money they don't rent a place to live but spend all their money to play games and hire a bed in the internet cafe (like you can do in Japan).

- In Japan it is very common to hear in the train that someone commited suicide and the train will be delayed...In China it is normal to hear someone died of playing to much a game.

- The gamers(gangs) are also a problem. You have gangs who are trying to make money on MMO's and it happens that their are fights between gangs. That in combination with a gaming market that is growing between 30%-60% a year makes the Chinese government worry. That's why they are trying to bring games on the market who are free like ZTonline.

I don't really think China is trying to put foreign companies/games out of my country.

Their are a lot of MMo's/japanese games releasing lately in China and companies like EA and Ubisoft are opening companies over whole of China to make/publish foreign games.

If you comments had made better sense, maybe then people will understand what you're talking about.  China is trying to squash this "stupid" game, and what's the logic in THAT?  It's a freaking game, and China is manipulating the law to try and stifle the game...seems like an extra ordinary measure...

My fall comments were tied to YOUR reference to a movement to challenge the legitimacy of the Chinese Regime:

"If they go riot then they will get killed by the army like in 1989 :)"

WTF has Tiananmen have to do with the Chinese government's hard tactics against a game that is HUGE in China?

The fact that the Chinese people can't do a thing if the goverment decides to ban WoW. No one can do a thing about it if that's what they decide. No, not even the USA :)
If people in China decide to riot over this(which happens sometimes) then the army will kill/arrest/beat them up. That's my point, IF they decide to ban WoW then Activision blizzard is trully fucked and there would be not a thing in the world that they can do about it.

Yes, they would be truly fucked to lose roughly 15% of their subscription income while maintaining the most successful MMO in history right before the release of D3 and Starcraft 2. Woe is them.

Seriously when everyone is calculating the profit made from WoW they do 10000000 times 15, but now half of their userbase only counts for 15%? WoW makes a lot less profit then than everyone says. Either that or you're talking bullshit.

And go learn economy mate, a 15% drop profit wise is never a good thing.

I dunno who does 10m x 15, but that's retarded for a large number of reasons.  For instance, many players buy multiple months at once which drops the price below 15, for another they make nothing near $15 us per month per account in Asia.  The 15% was a guess, but I would bet my house it's not more than %20.  And yes, if people assume WOW makes $15 x 10m, then it makes a lot less profit than they say.

And yes, I know that a %15 drop in profit is not a good thing, but let's be serious.  This is a game in its 5th or 6 year that only slows down for technical shit like this.  Furthermore, it is published by the company who puts out Guitar Hero, a huge cash cow, and is on the cusp of releasing two games that will sell a disturbing amount of copies.  It takes a lot more than a slowdown in the most popular MMO to make them "totally fucked."
