Forums - Microsoft - Forza 3: No weather, night racing, or rally

LOL. This is like a swarm of sharks who have detected blood.

It hasn't been a very good year for them Jagged, may be we should cut them some slack with PS3 in last, sales droping YOY, their next savior of PS3 was a no show at E3 and all.

Weather was nice to have in PGR4 (also nicely implement) but most of the time I find it a little distracting to race in.  There was weather in Race Pro and I never incline to turn it on.  It's a nice feature to have may be for next expansion.  (Aren't we suppose to get yearly edition of Forza now right, at least according to that "leaked" survey.

As for night racing .. I skip it everytime in GRID ....

There is some news about Forza that was just released. Forza may have decided multiplayer options are more important receptacles for their time than weather, night racing, and rally.

There was something about a more integrate on-line / off-line career mode where it would be seamless when you go from one to another.  There also was a rumor of may be something similar to PGR4 where you have race calendar and pick and choose what you want to race.

@mysticD : It was a better year for the PS3 than for the 360 until now actually.

There has been no major exclusive full game (getting 90 on meta) on 360 in 2009, there has been several on my PS3 already (Killzone 2 for example, or MLB09). You can check on Meta if in doubt. Infamous was nice too.

I don't play sales, I play games.

Yeah, the news released today confirmed that you will be able to earn career experience points over online play.  Not sure about the calendar thing.  But the customization options for online games sounds absurd.  Over 100 different settings.  The guy described some sort of cat and mouse game where one team tries to protect a car while the other is trying to wreck it, all made with the customization options..  Or something along those lines.

Meta is just an average of opinions called reviews, without reviews nobody could know which games are generally considered good or bad before buying them, so they're useful in some way. Sales on the other hand don't mean anything for the quality of the game, hence my sentence. So Meta info > sales info for gamers.

Meta says the average opinion of reviewers in 2009 was that 2 PS3 exclusives were worth 90+ / 100, and zero 360 exclusive full game was worth 90+. Nothing more.

You can still prefer Halo Wars and disagree with reviewers.

Old tech being taken out of a racing game that has been there since forever? ok.

Taken out.  You do realize Forza has never had them right?

My point is I'm surprised that such games get rid of simple things especially in this day and age.

That's straight out of PGR4.  I think it was in the DLC though.
