Not our fault that the 360 version was immensely more popular than they had imagined. They were busy like crazy all day yesterday adding servers.

Stupid 3rd party servers...P2P FTW.

Its not like the game is doing 30 vs 30 battles...

Actually, P2P is why Gears 2 is broken as it is.

I don't plan on playing many more online games (if any at all) unless they have dedicated servers like PSN.

Most PSN games (at least multi-plats for sure) use P2P as well....

Only ones that use dedicated servers are Resistance, Killzone, and Socom that I can think of off hand. But I do agree. P2P kills Gears 2 because of the host advantage it gives. Whenever I am host, I get some slight host advantage, but I have a good enough connection that everyone is nearly equal. Unfortunately Gears of War 2 picks the worst possible hosts 90% of the time....

Killzone 2 does not use dedicated servers which is one of the main complaints from the community as it sometimes lags when there are 32 people, especially on the smaller maps.

Warhawk did it right, it had both dedicated servers and P2P. Best thing about P2P is that theoretically the community will never die, as long as there are 2 people willing to play a game, you'll get games to play, obviously dedicated servers will allow for more stable and lag free games.
