i could have just imagined this my grandparents live on a farn and the night my grandad died i seen a man in black coat standing in a field about 50 feet away looking back at me and being on a farm there wouldn't have been another person around for miles
Nope, not one bit. I'd say unicorns have a better chance of being real than ghosts. I saw this Youtube video about a ghost at Neverland Ranch, and it was a guy's shadow. It's just the way the mind works. I'd believe in ghosts if there was some sort of evidence.

I don't believe in ghosts, but I have had some personal experiences which I cannot explain in any logical manner.
My house has a ghost or two. The most recent time I saw one of them was when I had just gotten back from studying abroad a couple months ago and I was trying to sleep. I wake up in the middle of the night because I could feel eyes on me look up and there was something in the air and I couldn't make out what it was. I saw the silhouette of a person and I rush to turn on the light and it was gone. Couldn't sleep get back to sleep for like an hour or so.
I told my mom about it and she was like "Oh, I bet he was just welcoming you back to the house." No sarcasm in the statement at all.

Plenty of people have had personal experiences that weren't shadows or mirror illusions. You don't have to believe them, but that doesn't mean they're irrational.

Oh and one thing I hate are double-takes where you would see someone or something, and natural reflex makes you look away for one freakin' second, then when you look back, it's gone. But what you saw was very vivid and real. Mindfucking experiences IMO.
