I bought my 360 in June of 2006, and I think it is finally getting rrod.  Last night I was playing Geometry Wars:  Retro Evolved.  And the game froze up on me then I unplugged my 360 from the power source and everytime I tried to start it up it came on with 3 red lights.  And it felt hot back behind the powercord.  So, I unplugged it again.  This morning I tried to start it again and it came on with green lights but it froze up when I tried to open the nxe menu.  I unplugged it again and it came on with three green lights and it let me open and flip through some pages of the nxe menu but I decided to turn it off and let it rest some more.  So, is my 360 getting rrod?

Yeah, but didn't they extend the warranty for one year because of rrod? I bought the 3 year warranty.

Your 360 is likely comming to a close my friend. It's motherboard is more than likely warped. By that date it sounds like a Zepthyr motherboard also with the 90nm CPU/GPU! Good luck I would at least trade that sucker in to get some cash and by an updated Arcade Xbox 360 SKU!

I always thought it was 3 years from the manufacturing date if I'm not mistaken or actually from the date of purchase. And by the looks of it the warranty on your is done. They have never announced an extended one year to the 3 year plan

I know, what a conincidence, a known Xbox 360 hater gets RROD on his "360" exactly 3 years 1 month from when he got it ....

I've tried it out some more today, and it hasn't given me any more troubles yet. Still I did post a youtube video of myself playing Geo Wars due to the negative responses that implied I was just trying to troll.
