Atlus has announced a 6th October release for excellent and exclusive PS3 role-playing game Demon's Souls in the US. But its European whereabouts are uncertain.

Update: Atlus USA spokesperson Aram Jabbari has offered us this:

"I'm not aware of any plans/publishers for bringing the game to Europe at this time. Hopefully the game continues to generate word of mouth and positive critical reception (like your great import review you folks did) and a European publisher takes notice."

Sony, which published the game in Japan, told Eurogamer it had "no plans to publish [Demon's Souls] in Europe at present".

Similarly Tecmo KOEI, which brought Atlus series Shin Megami Tensei to Europe, told us there are "no plans" to do the same with Demon's Souls.

Of From Software's previous games, Xbox 360 exclusive Ninja Blade was delivered by Microsoft and Armored Core for Answer was a Ubisoft title.

We spoke to a Ubisoft rep who was  "not aware of any plans" for the company to publish Demon's Souls here.

Looks like us Europeans will have to wait a while longer to get this game then . Guess we should be used to it by now.

Where does everyone import US games from? I've never imported before so not sure where to look. I tried Amazon US but they don't allow you to import games to the EU.

Meh, guess I won't be getting it. I'm farily interested in this game, but not enough to import it.

OMG seriously WTF!!!

what a way to treat an exclusive.........I know I can import it, but this will set a precedent...a precedent I don't want to happen.....common on UBI, hell even atari, someone here in Aussie town just publish the game and I'll buy it.

I'm in pretty much the same boat.

Luckily for me there's a site I use that imports direct from Amazon UK and US. obviously they tack on a little margin and delivery fees but it works quite well. perhaps there's an etailer near you who can do the same. or use ebay as was suggested.

Thats a pretty big mistake on Sony's part but maybe their plate is full at the moment. Either way EU owners can import it but it is a hassle that you should have to deal with
