1. Why this is MS discussion, is a multiformat game so should e in gaming.

2. Edge gave it a 9.

3. Game is a massive hit, servers are overloaded and they've had to add extra servers. They literally packed, only letting a player join when one leaves.

1. Look who made the thread.

2. Edge... lulz...

3.Most likely true, but this game goes against Warhawk on the PS3 version, which is a tough one.

On topic, it looks really neat imo, but rather lack-luster as far as graphics go, it looks just like Warhawk in my humble opinion which isn't a bad thing, but well... merh..

already have $15 put to the side for this sucker. I hope the PSN servers are better it's releasing tomorrow. I played Wake Island on BF2 so much I lost count can't wait. Come on EA take my moneyz.

why is this in the MS forum BTW ?

Because the hardcore shooter gamers are on Xbox 360.

Those 43 million kills will be reached in less than half the time on Xbox Live compared to PSN.

You can quote me on this.

you don't have to be a genius to know this

still doesn't change the fact it's a multi

This game is probaly the best game I have played this year! absolutely f**king fantastic in everyway! just can't stop playing it! the way you can jump out of your plane, open your parachute, sniper some people on the way down and land on top of the lighthouse allowing you to sniper people trying to take the lighthouse flag, stunning!

The graphics are superb too, better than battlefield bad company as it doesn't have that annoying "grain filter", plus much more destruction happening!

And yeah, it's getting fantastic reviews EVERYWHERE now, Dice were expecting sales of a million across both platforms over the weekend but they have now said the sales are way above anything they expected, even xbox live have put the price of the full game upto 9,999,999 (on the xbox web marketplace) to try and stop people buying it so the servers can cope with the demand lol!

The server issues give you a few hints how big this game is so far, the EA servers for this game can handle 250,000 players at once, yesterday over 600,000 players were trying to find games on the 360 as confirmed by Dice, they have had to double the server numbers which still won't be enough, and this is without the PS3 version even released as that one is out today.

This game is proving to be absolutely HUGE, biggest download game on consoles to date, DLC will also be on the way as Dice said if its a successful game they will support it wit new modes and maps, I think its safe ot say it's successful lol.

I couldn't conenct yesterday via XBLA but they said it is solved now :

Battlefield 1943 gets hammered, double the amount of servers

DICE had a fun day yesterday, launching the Xbox 360 version of Battlefield 1943 only to watch the game turn into from lag-fest into a game where it was impossible to connect to anything as the hours drew on.

Server capacity has now been increased to almost double the launch amount, so hopefully you’ll find things easier today. The game’s Twitter feed’s here, if you’re looking for constant updates.

PS3 version should be ok from the start...

You can alsways check the twitter feed for more info...

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

Also forgot to say, anyone that wants to see the game in action, take your pick from the live streams from this site - http://www.justin.tv/search?q=1943&commit=Search+broadcasters&section=broadcasters

Some are very funny to watch!

good to hear that the game has been great success. DICE always delvers.

Bad Company had a rather underwhelming Multiplayer but it looks like they fixed it with 1943 with squads and calling air strikes and most importantly better maps !!

I really hope the cancel Bad Company 2 and go straight to Battlefield 3.

Playing the game right now, definately worth $15.

Had trouble joining yesterday... I wish all the peer-to-peer haters tell me why C/S configuration are supposed to be superior...

Great game anyway, but I still have to join with my squad because so far, we had to split to have a chance to play the game.
