well, I don't know but Energy Star expects it to be implimented Obviously the PS3 and X360 could support it for computer monitors since they support connecting to those, but the Wii can't so it should be excluded from that requirement, but it is the only one I could find (other than potentially the power brick) that the Wii doesn't meet.

Overall, even if the PS3 was energy star compliant, the Wii uses less energy so the rating is a bunch of crap and completely useless.

Program the console to eject the disk after 15 mins of inactivity, then tell your customers to set it up such that the cd try will pop out and press the power button on your tv
