Forums - Gaming - Where is Bushido Blade 3?

Did this series not sell well enough to garner a sequel?

Looking at the video's of sword fighting in WSR make me think that with some better artstyle we could easily have a new Bushido Blade game on our hands.  Think with all the motion controllers coming Square Enix might delve into thier past portfolio for a quick cash in?

I want broken legs and arms back if they do.

I guess Kengo would be your answer.  A game that sucked after it stopped sucking.  Although I have to admit I had some fun with it.

Sadly, I dont' know if Bushido Blade will ever come back, made by someone else or not.

I played that craptacular crap fest and refuse to believe that I won't have a better spiritual successor.

I'd love a new Bushido Blade, but Square does nothing but RPGs now.

HVS claims that Bushido Blade is one of their inspirations for Gladiator AD, but it looks like it might have more in common with Punch-Out!!. Maybe they'll have a mode with no health bars and instant cripples/kills, and hopefully they'll make the game more responsive and fluid than current demos look.
