thoughts on it? is it worth 5 bucks?
Advent Rising was a huge disappointment to me. Why? Because it was so awesome, and parts 2 and 3 of the planned trilogy never came out :'(

THIS!
It's a game takes several hours to really get going, but once you start developing your abilities, it gets quite sweet. But it was too ambitious for the Mustard brothers when it came out. That's why I was HOPING that, since Epic bought Chair, they could get the rights back from Majesco and rekindle a sequel that is backed and guided by Epic. Maybe Shadow Complex will be a testing ground for such a scenario. We can always hope.
Oh, so yes its easily worth 5 bucks and your time, but be quite aware that is is a VERY flawed game.

The control scheme will have you pulling your hair out. There were also a few frustrating boss fights. It was a fun game though its a shame the trilogy will never be finished the story was pretty decent.
The production values on the first levels were top notch. They did an excelent job of making the space station feel lived in. I'd like to see Bioware pull off the same type of feeling for the Citadel in ME2.
