Forums - General - Your favorite Michael Bay film

I know he's not the greatest director in the world, but I generally like his movies. I think he crafts brilliant, engaging action scenes. I don't see what everyone has against the shaky camera. It's not that bad. If you have problems with his camera movement, you must be old and having seizures. I do agree, especially in Transformers, that the action gets too chaotic, and you can't tell what the heck is going on, but I still like it. So what is your favorite film by him? A list of his movies are below. My personal favorites are his two Transformers movies. But what are yours? Discuss.

Bad Boys (1995)

The Rock (1996)

Armageddon (1998)

Pearl Harbor (2001)

Bad Boys 2 (2003)

The Island (2005)

Transformers (2007)

Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen (2009)

Bad Boys Found it to be very funny.

probably The Rock and the 2 Bad Boys movies

he does some enjoyable movies tbh they are not bad by any means but not masterpieces or a thing you will see more than once or twice

I'll go with The Rock. It wE nothing special, but it didn't leave a bad taste in my mouth.

I saw the new Transformers the other day, and I hated it so much.
So inconsistent and confusing and stupid to me.

But I guess I'd probably choose the Island out of those choices... or Bad Boys...

ps. my first post! yay 4 me

Probably the rock. But to be honest I'm not a fan of his films.

The Rock!

Tease.

The Rock. In the main I just find his films 'average' with the exception of the odd nice moment of action.

I don't think he's the best action director by a long shot, though, as he often lets his action become muddled and he often struggles I feel to give each big action sequence a real feeling of progression or purpose.

But The Rock was pretty decent.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

that would be James Cameron

True, James Cameron can create some great action sequences. But to be honest with you, I never watched the first two terminators by him, so I can't judge, but I've seen clips of it.
