Oh and legalise Prostitution and marijuana. Instantly take two problematic, illegal industries and turn them into something safe and profitable. Win-Win

 that could work too

Leave it alone, so it can work itself out. Throwing tons of money no one has just makes it take longer.

my way stimulates it more because people are buying more stuff XP

also, re-legalize fireworks in states that have banned it, it doesnt't work

(some people are setting it off in NY where its banned >_>)

I agree. It also doesn't help that Obama is preaching socialism ideas in America. That is about the best way to tank an economy.

More firework holidays? Just make the whole country Disneyland and you would get fireworks every night!

I agree.

What caused the "crunch" was lack of transparency by financial firms. Accounting regulations should be reformed to force more transparency, but direct intervention and regulation on trade is always bad in my opinion.

Perhaps we should invade and lose, that would help.

Buying more stuff is what got us into this mess in the first place.

It wasn't buying more stuff, merely Americans buying bigger houses than what they could afford.

How to really fix the economy (if it's possible...):

1- Get rid of debt (i.e. stop doing what failed to work in Japan in the 90s, it's not gonna work now either).

2- Make people and governments focus on getting a good energy infrastructure in place, from production to consumption. The economy is not going to recover significantly with rising oil prices together with high oil dependency.

i agree.  The best thing we could do would be to get off of oil.  Invest in solar power, nuclear energy, and other forms of renewables so that we can provide our own energy and keep jobs here as well.
