Good to see some increases from some older games. Hopefully Gears of War will make 3m by next week.

Halo 3 sales are obviously incredible and it'll be interesting to see next weeks fall. Hopefully, the Halo effect (higher console sales), will remain with the console for a little while longer and lead into a strong holiday season.

Oh well, to all the haters who thought Halo wouldnt increase hardware sales because "everyone who wants Halo already owns a 360", I wish I had some crow for you to eat. Unless you are still full of crow from last weeks numbers

Its nice to see some older 360 games get boost from all the 360 hype. Hopefully it will carry through into the holidays.

I like how people are saying a 19% increase isn't much...

I think those people don't realize it's a 19% increase over the previous weeks 17% increase which was on top of another 17% increase from the week before!!

That's a total of 63% increase!

I think it's impressive because just 2 months ago, the X360 was averaging just around 40,000 units. Even though I have a big suspicion that the X360 for VGC #s is going to be low vs. NPD, it's still showing a TREND of increasing, not just a random boost.

The biggest question is: can the X360 stay above 80k for the rest of the year? If so, the X360 should maintain a lead over the Wii, even in week-to-week sales during Christmas, or atleast really close to it.

perhaps if the wii falls to 80k, which might happen until galaxy hits

after that the rest of the year it will be highly above the 360, and we're only talking about US
