Lets not paint her as some tormented soul, or someone who did not walk into this situation eyes wide open. Oh and this gotcha journalism bull crap is exactly that. Every politician gets the exact same treatment. Most of the media could care less about where the dirt is found as long as they are the ones to find it. The only difference is that some politicians are good about burying their shit, and others cannot help but drag it across the carpet.

More to the point she made her family the issue. She made her own ignorance the issue. that is what happens when you allow yourself to be window dressing. She was playing an image to appeal to voters. She drug her family behind her, and had them sitting right behind her as she stumped. She did not have to do that. In fact most politicians do not drag their family up on stage so that they can stay out of the firing range.

She played the salt of the earth soccer mom with the soccer family. Which was not true. They are as dysfunctional as everyone else. She might as well have walked into a bull ring with that crap. She also should have known that she was going to be barraged with any and all questions. How the hell are you got if you know something has to be coming.

No shit backfired on her, and all of it was her own doing. You want to step up to the firing line fine, but if you drag your family along. Well do not bitch if the get picked off by snipers. You want to be a heart attack away from a world level leadership position you better damn well be able to hold your own conversationally. You want to be on the national stage well then you have to face down national level media coverage, and she didn't leave the national stage. She was making presidential campaign moves during the election, and she did nothing to quash the presidential conjecture that has been running for eight month solids.

If she is in a nightmare it is one of her own making. My personal opinion is that she was getting too roughed up, and that was hurting her presidential campaign hopes.
