Forums - Gaming - Updated: Xbox 360 and PS3 Lineups for October

Both PS3 and Xbox360 lineups pale in the glory that is Ninja Bread Man!

erm, you have low standards for AAA games.

None of those games are AAA

Help! I'm stuck in a forum signature!

I can't believe The Orange Box comes out next week. I still have so much Halo 3 and Madden to play, and I still haven't even finished BioShock. And then Ace Combat 6 comes out on October 23. Who has the time for so many games? I almost wish a few of them were delayed.

We don't provide the 'easy to program for' console that they [developers] want, because 'easy to program for' means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so the question is what do you do for the rest of the nine and half years? It's a learning process. - SCEI president Kaz Hirai

It's a virus where you buy it and you play it with your friends and they're like, "Oh my God that's so cool, I'm gonna go buy it." So you stop playing it after two months, but they buy it and they stop playing it after two months but they've showed it to someone else who then go out and buy it and so on. Everyone I know bought one and nobody turns it on. - Epic Games president Mike Capps

We have a real culture of thrift. The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games. - Activision CEO Bobby Kotick

There is a lot of potential for system defining games this month on both sides...

Can 360 get credibility outside of a FPS and at the same time get some Japanese exposure (Ace Combat, Beautiful Katamari, and Naruto)

Can the PS3 find a game that sits well with reviewers (Folklore, Eye of Judgement, and Ratchet & Clank)?

How much will Orange Box sell?

I'll be picking up Folklore & Ratchet & Clank for the ps3 this month...nothing interest me on the 360 this month--still playing Blue Dragon though so doesn't matter.

Well, I now only have access to a PS3 & 360...Plan on buying a wii soon (lol, if I can ever find one available!) but will probably wait until some of the major RPG's come out like Dragon Quest & Tales, etc.

Anyhow, I'm so far behind in games to play that I'm not in a huge hurry (lol, haven't even gotten a chance to finish God of War II yet!)

if those A ratings are possible sales , why did you put an A before VF5 ? it won't sell

if they indicate good games ,why didn't VF5 get an AAA as the best beat'em up in existence?

I think VF5 will be a surprise to the positive on sales.  A really good online fighting IP with a great reputation would be much appreciated on 360.  I also know quite a few 360 owners that are looking forward to it.

the 360 version of Jericho will at least sell 2 times as good as vf5 in usa in my opinion and I doubt VF5 (360) will get over 250k ltd

I hope virtua fighter 5 rips it up on 360 cause then we might get Tekken 6

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

You do realize that Ninja Bread Man is one of 43 titles due out in October for the Wii according to IGN.
