I meant worldwide.

The only instance of "heavy" bundling took place over last holiday season in NA. Even then, it was only the more expensive SKU that included the game. The game managed to sell 2 million up until that point worldwide.

And I take it you don't trust our numbers?

Just wanted to mention that it was heavily bundled in Europe as part of the PS3 "Starter Pack"

I did forget about this bundle.  However, this was one of several bundles, was it not?  All of which were well over the normal MSRP of a ps3.  They had the Resistance + MotorStorm bundle, the GT5P bundle, various Blu-Ray bundles, the MGS4 bundle, F1 bundle, etc. etc.

I mean, given all the bundles out there, I can't see one game or another having enjoyed too much of a boost in sales as a result.

Now the MotorStorm bundle in North America, THAT bundle added substantially to the games sales.  It was the only bundle around and the more popular SKU due to BC, so it sold a ton.

In almost all of PAL the "Starter Pack" was the only means by which you could purchase a PS3 for a substantial period of time.

What determines if a title is AAA?

Me.

No kidding. I think the most commonly accepted definition is 90%+ on Metacritic. But a game doesn't need to be AAA to be awesome.

You started that, and you know it...at least amongst users on this site. And it's still not a complete measure of a game's AAA-ness

I didn't start that at all.

I wish I had that much influence on these boards.

So if a game can be awesome without being rated over 90% on metacritic, isn't your sig pointless starcraft?

But then he can't make the 360 look better than the other consoles!

My signature doesn't assert any opinions as too whether 90%+ games effect the console war.

It is the statistics that apparently assert the Xbox 360 as being the superior console.

Despite the fact that a game can be awesome without being rated over 90% ?

So the 360 has the most 90% games, but is not necessarily the most awesome console...

AAA titles ARE awesome.

Non-AAA titles MAY be awesome to SOME portions of the gaming population.

Do you really feel AAA titles are irrelevant?

I would say that even AAA titles fall under the blanket of 'May be awesome to some portions of the gaming population'

I have no interest in any of the Halo games, and a lot of people agree with me. That doesn't change wether Halo is AAA or not

I feel the description 'AAA' is ambiguous and merely another way for certain gamers to make themselves feel superior to other gamers. I think the term is worse than irrelevant
