Forums - Microsoft - L4D2 pre-orders twice that of original News

First one sucked balls tbh. I played it for 3 days or so.. then it just kept being repetetive. And if i hadnt played with friends over ventrilo, i probably wouldnt have had the urge to give it another look after i "finished" it the first night.

Valve was just commented as saying that when the PC version has price discounts, it increases the sales of the 360 version along with the PC version. Interesting.

Also, I am wondering how big of a userbase L4D actually has on PC. There are only 11,000 people playing it as of now on Steam.

Why did you post that?

Good I hope they double their original sales too just to shutup all the whiners that expect a business to keep releasing free stuff to satisfy their needs.

Well done shio, you managed to post a pointless picture with no useful info what so ever. Good job.

JaggedSac wondered how the L4D did on PC, and since there's no hard data on L4D I showed the best piece of data available, sort of a direct comparison (although very incomplete) between PC and 360 versions.

Since we can compare both versions we can have a small idea of how the PC version's success. L4D on 360 sold 2.27 millions, but the PC version had a significantly better launch AND 2 big promotions that vastly increased the PC crowd months after it was released. Those 2 huge promotions (the 50% Off sale and the Free Weekend) were so huge that the PC version is now being played by almost 3 times as many people as the 360 version.

I don't think so, as everybody that was in the boycott had steam accounts.

Yeah that DE thing looked very real, I don't think it did much tbh with you.

Damn, that means there are currently only 4,000 people playing the game on 360 right now.
