I really enjoyed Tarantino and Rodriguez's attemp to reinvigorate the Grindhouse genre with their Grindshow Double Feature of Planet Terror and Death Proof released in 2007.  And, it seems like in the wake of The Grindshow Double Feature other filmmakers have begun to try to make these types of films.  Recently, I've noticed a lot of these films seem to be being made in Japan.  The most prominent one seems to be Tokyo Gore Police starring the woman that played the beautiful, yet demented and deadly femme fatale of The Audition Eihi Shina.

I haven't seen Tokyo Gore Police yet, but it is on my  "must watch list".  Have you seen Tokyo Gore Police?  If so, what did you think of it (without spoilers please), and do you enjoy actual Grindhouse type movies or this trend in recent filmmaking to reinvigorate this genre of films?

Another recent Japanese film in this genre looks to be Vampire Girl Versus Frankenstein Girl.
