Forums - Gaming - CAPCOM is slipping

Yeah...it is actually a bit concerning...

There's no reason they couldnt port SF4 to Wii... I guess the only obstacle wouldve been the controller for Wii. They wouldve had to bundle Sf4 with a fight stick for Wii and probably didnt want to do that.

I doubt that SF4 netcode was bad on all systems, I hear its quite great from my friends with Xbox 360s and the lower latency between the controller and the consoles a pretty good help too I must add.

Tease.

The trick is to host the matches yourself. You're sure to have the advantage. It's kind of cheating though. :/

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Monster hunter 3 and spyborgs look great. It's nice to see a big dev focussing on the wii. Monster hunter 3 is easily the best looking game on the wii so far and it has online.

Street Fighter IV on PS3 is currently tied for the the highest rated game (meta) of 2009 so I'm afraid I can't agree with you.

RE5 was definitely not as amazing as I was expecting.

I am just playing through Lost Planet (360 version) for the first time so I will let you know what I think of that.

Other than that I'd say they are doing pretty good for themselves. They have yet to release a game as amazing as REmake/RE4 were for the 6th gen though.

As long as they keep churning out Ace Attorney games, I'll be happy.

No. It's TERRIBLE on 360 as well.

I have it on 360, not on Ps3. Searching for a game, match making, waiting in the 2 person lobby, etc.... It's horrendous, which is a shame because I love the actual gameplay. The netcode is frustrating though as you often spend a long time just searching for matches, and then when you finally find a match and click on it, it says "match is full, try again"... this can happen about 10-20 times before you get a match that works.

Resident Evil 5 needed to be a shooter in order to succeed. Devil May Cry 4 wasnt a true sequel more like a average spin-off. DMC5 will be the real sequel fans will be playing.

Capcom's only problem this gen is the mistaken belief that they need to do more to cater to Westerners, its causing some of their franchises to go through a great blandening (RE5, Bionic Commando), and all their new IPs to look the same (Dead Rising, Lost Planet)

Street Fighter IV was very good, by all accounts, though i've never liked Street Fighter. Megaman 9 was excellent, DMC4 was ok (nonpersonal experience), Tatsunoko vs Capcom looks amazing, as does Monster Hunter 3. Spyborgs looks a little bland, but i need to see more on that.

Short story: Stop trying so hard to be "Western," just make games, and it'll sort itself out.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Capcom actually did quite bad this generation. For me RE5 was dissapointing. And most of their other were dissapointing aswell.
