Great that he won. Dems have been running congress for years. They have done such a great job, that I can't wait to see how much more great stuff they do now with the super majority.

I mean the economy that they are in charge of has been awesome!

You mean the recession they inherited?

Hey, Mafoo doesn't need facts to come to conclusions.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

There was a recession three years ago?

The recession began in the fall of 2007. The Democratic majority didn't enter office until January 2007. Even someone as reality-resistant as yourself can't reallty believe that six months had more to do with it than the six or so years of spectacular Republican failure. (And even after Jan. 2007, we had the trusty Bush administration to do what they did best: Fuck things up.)

Or maybe you can believe that. FDR caused the Great Depression, too right?

I would love to have a job where I can get paid for three years, do nothing right, and never have to worry about the people keeping me in my job holding me accountable for anything I do.

How awesome it must be for congress to always have history to blame. Hell, why do they even show up?

I'm guessing that someone of your "abilities" probably doesn't do anything right in his current job, so let's not put you in charge of anyone else.

Boo-hoo, Obama's been in office for almost half a year, and the Republicans' recession still isn't over. *sob*

Such a whiner.

In one response you admit that congress has been Democrat controlled for 3 years, but now you look at Obama for less than a year as the Democrats only opportunity to correct this problem.

Congress is in charge of our economy. Why are they not held accountable for what’s happened in the last three years? Why have they funded a war for three years now, and no one blames them for the cost of the war?

Insult me all you want, but my guess is you’re a lot younger than me, so in the end, I will get the last laugh. I will be dead and gone long before you’re done living your life in the cesspool that government is currently turning the USA into.
