PlayOn Providing Hulu Compatibility for PS3

Fans of free on-demand television and the PlayStation 3’s updated web browser with full-screen Flash support were no doubt  disappointed about the recent news involving Hulu and the PS3. Fortunately, Media Mall Technologies has a solution for the free television connoisseur.

The PlayOn Digital Media Server syncs directly with the PS3’s DLNA media server feature with the ability to access networks such as Netflix, ESPN, YouTube, and you guessed it: Hulu. According to Engadget, users can download the PlayOn media server and use it free for 14 days and purchase the free version for half-price during the month of July with the coupon code PLAYON1999.

For the true fans of free online media on the PS3, $19.99 should be a steal for those who use the coupon code before July 31.

And, as someone stated in the source comment, TVersity is also supose to solve the issue.

Yeah that sounded stupid to me aswell. Cus half price of a free version is what? Money back?

yeah it does sound funny.

It's probably a gimped free version with an inbuilt 14 day fully functional trial product (like AVG and others do).

The full version price is then halved with the promo code.

Besides, TVersity will probably do it for free anyway, But I've yet to try either solution.

Or Hulu for that matter lol

Proud Sony Rear Admiral

I gave PlayOn a try (btw it's not free, it's a trial) but especially for Hulu it worked extremely rarely.
After checking their forums I found out that this is the usual state of affairs, not bad luck for my trial so definitely not buying.

For now I've just connected my pc to the tv, though I hope Hulu resolves this for the PS3 browser.

Amazing software...

Tried Netflix, Hulu, Gametrailers, local files (xvid only) and a few others (3rd party plugins) and everything seems to be working.

Bought it.
