Forums - Sony - So I just downloaded the gt5 e3 2009 1080p WOW

Meh, the actual game will only be marginally better (if at all) than Forza 3. So far there is no evidence to support that the CGI footage shown at E3 for GT5 was gameplay. Oh, and Forza 3 will be running 60FPS @ 1080P both in and out of cockpit. so don't get all bent out of shape. The vid looks awesome, that's for sure, and I do not doubt that GT5 will be fun, but can we stop with the comparing? The idiocy that results from it makes my head hurt.

So if the trailer was in game engine/footage, then does that mean GT5's graphics are just as good as modern day CGI?

Yes. This would be a good thing, if polyphony could pull it off, then other game devs would be sure to follow. So, while I don't believe it's ingame, I would be delighted if it were. This, I guess, is what separates the men...from the fanboys.

I like the fact that you have 3 modes of racing in 1 game. Rally,nascar and the other one.

I believe 3/4 of the trailer was in-game...

However, Turn 10 did a really good job making a game as good looking and as fun as Gran Turismo in 2 years(?).

This, and God of War 3, will be definitive games that will boost the sales of the ps3 this gen.

How did you come to that conclusion? Polyphony didn't have anybody up on stage playing the game, they also have not said anything about it being ingame.

because he have played prologue and it looks almost as sexy ingame.

and he is happy both games are coming out 2010 Q1.

Look at PS3 games in first 6 months and compare to Killzone2 ? why should there not be a similar jump in quality in a racer ? the GT Ps3 code has had over 2 years to improve over GT5P.

And Forza 3 is 720p bud >d. <

Any one with a tv worth a damn can clearly see its ingame, so thanks for calling GT5s graphics cgi.  It really is that damn good looking.

Yeah, that was at E3, but then cockpit view was also only 30FPS, on release it will be 60FPS, and I have heard that Forza3 will be 1080P. Besides, unless you have a 52" or greater TV, the differance between 1080P and 720P really isn't that noticeable.

Yeah...no. Nobody with half a brain thinks that...so yeah, I guess it's just a bunch of fanboys. Oh fyi, IF I can afford a PS3, I will be getting it. So good luck trying to peg me as somebody who is against it. No, what I am really agains is idiots claiming that GT5 is going to be any better than Forza3, and that is why I am here. Just bringing sanity back to the insane.
