Forums - Microsoft - If there is a Gen2 360, how long?

Once they get more of the X360 to a 65nm process, I think they'll goto a newer design.

MS knows that there are massive heat problems with certain areas of the X360. Why not re-design it (and kill the power brick too), and make it alot cheaper to make?

IMO, we could/should see a re-design for next years Christmas.

Yeah, I agree with you stickball.  I can't wait that long though and I have recently been given the opportunity to buy a 360 Elite for $240.  So I should have one in a couple months.

This will be the 65nm model. Same packaging but, better insides. So, my answer is sort of. They really don't need to strip down the machine itself, and it would be better for them to just roll in the 65nm chipset, refine the air circulation, and leave everything else as is.
