Lol epic post!!
I would say that the PS3s tend to die outside of warranty whilst the Xbox 360s tend to die inside of warranty, so the rate of unwarranted failures are:
Wii 1%
PS3 8%
Xbox 360 3%
Tease.

Lol, thats a crafty way of looking at it.
Squilliam funny, you forgot to mention that the Xbox 360 once it dies it will be suicidal when it comes back. :p

Yes but it will still be under warrenty. After it dies 10-12 times it will learn its lesson and stop committing suicide (at least hopefully!)

I know what the YLOD is, but I am just wondering where everyone is pulling out these estimations. We've heard about the YLOD. We've also heard about RROD and Wii's failing. RROD has always been kindof in the spotlight especially since MS extended the warranty. But how are people automatically assuming there are more YLOD on PS3 than failing Wii's?

It's nice to know that you think of yourself as the only person in the world.

Because you never hear about Wii's breaking. I haven't heard anybody say their Wii has broken untill this thread, whereas I have heard lots of users say they have the YLOD and even more who have the RROD. RROD is on the decline and YLOD is on the rise.

Ever feel as if that might just be your personal experience? Just because you have heard something more than another does not mean it's true.
As for your second point, I don't even see how YLOD rising and RROD declining has anything to do with Wii vs. PS3 failure rates. Yes, RROD is on the decline. Down is the only way it can go from the initial 33% failure rate that some sources were reporting. But YLOD on the rise? That's another point that I think you simply made up and are using as a fact.
