Halo 3 was the prime enemy that messed up these servers. But who cares look the money speaks for itself. $170 for first day sales. That's amazing!!!! 8)

Wow, $170, that's like a copy of the Regular AND Legendary Editions!

Duh.....look in a game store lately and find out how much they cost.

It was a joke.  Seriously, are you 15 years old or something?

We don't provide the 'easy to program for' console that they [developers] want, because 'easy to program for' means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so the question is what do you do for the rest of the nine and half years? It's a learning process. - SCEI president Kaz Hirai

It's a virus where you buy it and you play it with your friends and they're like, "Oh my God that's so cool, I'm gonna go buy it." So you stop playing it after two months, but they buy it and they stop playing it after two months but they've showed it to someone else who then go out and buy it and so on. Everyone I know bought one and nobody turns it on. - Epic Games president Mike Capps

We have a real culture of thrift. The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games. - Activision CEO Bobby Kotick

You got that right, I don't think this happens on PS3, considering the userbase isn't that big.

 It's not just the userbase, but the capability of the network versus the userbase. Since XBL has had over 5 years to establish its infastructure, I would say that Halo3 had to be pretty big to slow it down.

 So a PS3 game could launch slow that network, if the capabilites are not larger than the userbase.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

 Exactly.  In the future you should only argue with other people who have no grasp of the English language.

@sinha

Can you be a man and be civil and drop this argument. Thanks.

Why is it so hard to build a console that works right? Someone please explain to me, I'm ignorant of the reason's behind the 360's seemingly endless stream of problems.

Why is it so hard for Nintendo to implement true online play?

Well, to be honest, this problem was minor and wasn't really caused by the hardware, but I don't really know how they get away with scratching the hell out of disks, selling pre-scratched disks, and having one out of every three systems crap out...I mean, PS3s and Wiis don't do that.
