A playstation fanboy giving a good review to a ps3 exclusive big surprise JK

It will be one of my first GAMES WHEN I GET MY PS3(sry abpout caps)

I can name 20 games you should get before Infamous on the PS3.

No you can't.... The PS3 has no games.

---

Anyway, Infamous is cool and I spent the whole 3 days I had it rented for playing it nonstop.

The side missions start feeling rather tedious part way in though and since you have to do so many to take back the city.... ugh.

I'm thinking that getting platinum is possible for this game because I beat it on hard for the first playthrough, but then I remembered about the stupid blast shards and how daunting it can be to try and find them all. Whats worse is that you could forfeit some of them depending on your karma choices during a side mission. Like there's one where you can either take the shards from somebody by force and walk away or let him give you one or two.

I played for long stretches late into the night too. Beat it twice (good&evil) with all trophies save for the Hard Finish, and the platinum that comes with it. Excellent game, and quite addictive.

No, the shards you get in missions dont count towards the total so you can get all 350 shards as good or evil.

The blast-shards in the side-missions don't count towards the 350 total shards (or the trophies), only towards your power. There are so many shards that you can be maxed-out for power well before you find them all.

Yeah, and I believe that once you get the power maxed out, it'll start telling you how many shards you have left. I had around 50 left when it started doing that for me.

Yep. I was driven close to madness when I wound up with 349 out of 350 shards. Combed the whole freakin city. I eventually found that the one shard most people had missed was the same one I missed. Waaayyy out on a long, broken pier. Wish I had played my second time through on hard, just for economy's sake. But I wanted to see how the evil powers compared to the good powers on normal.

I was in the same position. I did the exact same thing. And, I needed the very same shard. That one's an evil one! Probably spent a good 3 hours looking for that one alone. The rest of them were fairly easy. And I also didn't play through on hard my first two times. I did the third time though, and that and the 100% of the shard trophies were the last two I needed for the platinum.

I know! The worst part of it for me was that I'd walked past it like 5 times. I was so relieved when I finally found it though. I got my life back. ^_^

@insomniac17. I can't believe I missed it. The edges should be the easiest to scour. And I SWEAR I checked all the piers. Guess not though....
