Personally, Simpsons is BORING to me, Family Guy is better.

Well, I'd disagree with this.

Season 2-8 of Simpsons are completely brilliant. Nothing but perhaps Futurama can match up to this.

Then Mike Scully started and kinda ruined the Simpsons. It slowly became worse and worse, and seasons 11 & 12 weren't that good. I'd call them Family Guy quality, but that's just me.

Then Al Jean took over. Seasons 13-15 aren't that bad really. They're not 2-8 quality, but definitely better than any of the work under Mike Scully's administration.

15 and out are once again not so good. I haven't seen a lot of them, but compared to the competition, they're far more story-centered. Family Guy and alikes may normally have better jokes, but the Simpsons generally has a better story. I guess it depends on what you're after.

For my "which owns which" I'd say

Futurama = Simpsons 3-8> Simpsons 13-15 > Simpsons 9 & 16-present = Family Guy > Simpsons 10-12 = American Dad.

I have only split up Simpsons, as Futurama is awesome overall, and I haven't seen enough Family Guy and American Dad to decide between those.

Futurama vs Simpsons 5-8 is the same  as Simpsons 16-present vs Family Guy. Futurama has the better jokes, but Simpsons 5-8 has the story/criticism of society.

TBH I prefer south park and The PJ's(cancelled) to those two.

I hate Family Guy and how it copies the Simpsons and now how the Simpsons copy it. So, right now, neither are any good, but I give the Simpsons the edge due to the fact that they are still a few good episodes per season, the same cannot be said for Family Guy.
