Forums - Sony - GT5 publicity campaign begins !

The purpose of the video is to promote the car, not the game.
It showed some footage from GT5P (I don't see any GTPSP footage) because that's where the car originated. There wasn't any mention of the GT5.

The car is coming from a concept to reality and it will be shown @ the coming Frankfurt Auto Show.

That car will never be a production reality, nor will anything based on it in the mid future at least (>5 years).

The name of the prototype itself contains the logo of Gran Turismo the game, you can't separate the two. So when the car is shown enywhere, it becomes a promoting tool for GT and Citroen by default.

The car was shown at Auto Shows before, so the coming Frankfurt Auto Show is not why they are showing it on the streets of London now.

Shown in the streets recreating the GT5P London track which will also be in GT5 I might add, as they did in Le Mans, France. ^^

It IS being produced in real life.

http://www.autoblog.com/2009/07/01/report-gtbycitroen-gets-the-green-light-for-limited-production/

$1.8 million each and only 6 will be produced. Powered by either a GM or Ford V8.

The car is heading into production. That's why the car was in London street to create buzz.
The final detailed spec will be revealed at the next Frankfurt Autoshow.

$1.8 is a bit high. Especially when you can get a Bugatti Veyron for $1,400,000. The fastest car on the road.

Sometimes it's not about performance. Some people go for uniqueness / technology.
All the most expensive cars sold on auction were antique cars.

And the Veyron isn't the fastest anymore.

The SSC Ultimate Aero took the crown back in 2007.
And it only costs $654,000

By fastest I was thinking 0-60 mph. Which I think the Bugatti still holds, not sure.

PD hasn't been sitting idly... no... not at all. God, that stuff is beautiful.

Hey, Turn 10... here's "definitive" for ya!

errr... I still fail to see what's new on this thread...

So what exactly are you seeing new on these screenshots ?  These are GT5P screenshots, plain and simple.   There are some real life pictures as well that apparently some of you are mistaking for in-game... which speaks good of the game, and bad of your sight.

Stop smoking and read yourself...

It says right in the article... "We'll send out a selection of goodies to two commenters who correctly identify which photographs are real and which are from Grand Turismo 5."

In hindsight your a blind person trying to judge another persons sight, quite sad really.

Sorry but still didn't get your point.  Again, your point is?    Honest question...  I mean you obviously know I do know some are in-game some are real life.  So I am guessing this bolded Gran Turismo 5 is your point?  So I missed GT5P for GT5 in your opinion?  Is that it mate?  Btw I still think it's prologue.  Or maybe you didn't see that people was claiming all pictures to be in-game.  Would be funny considering your last sentence

Anyways, I think the Veyron looks ugly. :\

I think there wrong on the 0-60. Road and Track recorded 0-60 in 2.6 seconds.

http://www.roadandtrack.com/article.asp?section_id=3&article_id=4406

AutoCar tested at 0-62 in 2.46 seconds.

http://www.autocar.co.uk/CarReviews/FirstDrives/Bugatti-Veyron-8.0/217427/

Also, the Veyron is electronically limited top speed of 253. The theoretical top speed on a perfect run is 257mph.

Anyways, I think Citroen is a shit company. :\
