Fuck Helena Bonham Carter, and fuck you too Tim Burton. Just because she is your wife doesn't mean you have to put her in EVERY SINGLE MOVIE YOU DO!

What do you have against Helena Bonham Carter?

She really isn't that great of an actress.  She has been good in two movies I have seen her in: Fight Club and Sweeney Todd.  Coincidentally, the roles were pretty similar.  In every other movie, she has given a sub-par performance.  Not to mention she mooches off her husband to get roles in movies.

She was very cute in Mel Gibson's version of Hamlet where she played Ophelia.

Also, if you liked her performances in Sweeney Todd and Fight Club, then you should also like her performance as the Queen of Hearts because it is another similar role.  Another film where I thought she was excellent was in The Corpse Bride.

In the types of films Burton does there are many similar roles.  It's not her fault she is as good as anyone in those types of roles.

Who else could they get?  Sean Young?  Probably too old.  Asia Argento?  Probably actually too crazy.  Christina Ricci?  As small as she is, she wouldn't make a very imposing Queen of Hearts.

Helen bonham carter plays 2 roles in big fish, which was an excellent movie.

That movie is badass, but that is a perfect example of how Helena Bonham Carter becomes the worst part of the movie.  Her performance was just plain bad in that movie.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S.
