Exactly, if you already own a PS3, it's really really hard to justify purchasing $400 for a PS3.

I have zero interest in blu-ray at the moment. And nothing available exclusively to Sony's PS3 catalogue interests me at the moment.



I'm not a fanboy, I just try to tip the balance in favor of logic and common sense.

Amusing article... soft on facts and strong on opinion. I would eventually like to get a PS3, but now is NOT the time... it needs to drop in price.

Don't mean to troll.....But name one PS3 exclusive that sold more than Gears of War 2...?
I mean sales have the final say in "Ripples" or impact....

^^Metal Gear Solid probably did, (VG under-tracks it) and plus sales dont matter (not too much), Gears 2 sucked more then Gears 1, and also MGS4.

NOPE!

MGS4 shipped 5 mill.....

Gears of War 2 sold over 5 mil....

I don't think VG undertracks it at all...

And sales do matter....sales are the most inportant thing at the end of the day...Sales are only irelevant in Game dev techniques...

And Gears of War 2 did not suck! your so wrong...but your a PS3 fanboy...so I understand.....That you know nothing....when it comes to XBox 360 gaming

Oiy, you're not worth the time.

 

MGS4 is a hair over 4mil right now.  Even if VG is undertracking it, it's not undertracking by 1mil to put it over 5mil and ahead of Gears 2, which also happened to be released well after it.  Gears, and the other big selling exclusives/console exlusives don't seem to count for some reason though.

I bought one couple of days ago because I was bored and it was pretty cheap already. (329€ from local internet shop). I planned to wait for slim but I needed to do something with my summer job money. =P.

@Zizzla Rachet, Gears 2 was better then Gears 1? No. Better then MGS4? Not even close. Better then Mass Effect? Getting there. Better then Fable 2? No, but still very close.
