Those aren't all people playing games.  Unless there are 1 million people playing the bottom tier games.

It is at the bottom of the stats page. Click on View Steam players per game

Halo is the ultimate casual shooter game so it doesn't surprise me tbh.

@dahuman-No need to sugarcoat it. Those are impressive numbers for a single game to compete with the premier PC digital distribution service. Maybe it's my fault. I just always got the impression from the PC users here that Steam was bigger than this.

users, yes, actively playing, probably not always, I myself haven't played on steam for at least the past week because I've been busy lately, I envy the people that have time to enjoy gaming. that and a lot of the people I play with on steam are WoW players I guess, and I quit WoW already while they are still sticky glued to that life wrecking game.

I always have steam running, I use it as my chat client though its never on the PC im currently on.
