Forums - Gaming - WTF! how many?

I'm not alone in calling you out on your BS Bod.

Tell me, can you upgrade the HDD in your Ps3 by replacing it with a better one?

Can you buy a PS3 specifically customized to suit your interest in photoshop design, or media presentation?

Can you easily build your own Xbox 360 from scratch with the parts you want.

Can you custom order a PS3 with Windows XP installed instead of Windows Vista.

Can you choose to use Linux on your 360 than Windows?

Can you put a Zip drive in your PS3?

Do you shop for Video Game consoles by the parts you want them to have picking and choosing from the factory direct what you want your video game console to be and do?

Updating the firmware in your Video Game console is not the same as upgrading the hardware components in your PC.

Choosing between three SKUs is not the same as being able to build your PC from scratch.

Thanks for your contribution. But maybe next time try to keep on topic instead of trying to hijack the thread to vent your own misplaced pet peeves.

PC hardware is upgradeable, replaceable & customizeable... Video Game Consoles aren't. PCs are far more versatile as a software platform and can be tailor made to suit your interests in what you want it to do specifically.

Yes, you can add an additional HD on your PS3, and yes, you can replace the one on the 360.

No, you cannot put a zip drive on your PS3.

No, you cannot shop for video game consoles by the parts. Which is absolutely irrelevant to their function.

Updating the firmware in you game console is precisely the same as updating your OS.

Nice try. You're simply wrong, sorry. I absolutely agree that the PC is more customizable, but the suggestion that "more customization" makes it a completely different beast is absurd. And please don't blame me for going off topic, when you responded to me. You only decided to tell me I was off topic when you didn't want to respond to my question.

 Video game consoles are upgradable, replacable and customizable. Stop! Stop with this nonsense people.

I'm going to repeat this one more time: the PS3 and 360 have components which are upgradable, replacable and customizable. This is not a valid argument. The end.

I agree with Bods on this one.

Bodhesatva, you simply just don't know what you're talking about. You're trying so hard to make your argument work that you've just become blind towards the obvious differences between PCs and Video Game Consoles. I'm not wasting anymore time on you. If it bothers you that much, make your own thread. I've not the patience to deal someone as blind as yourself.

Bods, no offense but maybe you should take your meds and take a break from the forums.

 That's precisely how I feel about you.

@Bods:

Photoshop, burn discs, movie making, CAD, music production (one of my favorites), screenshots and movies from games with high fidelity.

More to come later.

Also, PCs are expandable while consoles are not (unless you're willing to muck around with a soldering iron, in which case you can also argue that my garbage can is a PC too).

Consoles are expandable. How are they not? You can add an additional hard drive to the PS3, and you can even swap the hard drive right out of the 360.

Do you simply mean that the GPU/CPU/RAM arent replacable?

Do you feel that the Wii is not a console?

@Onimusha

Wow so my guess would be that if your not right then no one is, It seems when you lose an argument you believe that only your point of view is the correct one i'm sorry becaues the only person whose "blind" is you.
