^ I second that, I don't care for motion controls for the huge majority of games but the pointer is handy for a lot of things.

It feels too stiff in the hands and not as comfortable as Controller S was also they've removed the black and white buttons from Duke / Controller S and its new start and select buttons are poor in comparison to those on Controller S as well. It feels almost as rigid as the Dreamcast controller.
The only real advantage the 360 has over the dualshock is its firing triggers for shooters and they do feel much better than the too springy / soft buttons you would use as triggers in Killzone 2 on Dualshock 3. However, in almost every other way imho dualshock 3 is better.
So you are saying that fighting and action games are best played with an xbox 360 controller than the playstation 3 controller?

No, I'm saying shooters like Gear and Halo are but in most action games or fighters (especially since the 360 controller's d-pad is so awful, there wouldn't be much difference or Dualshock 3 would be better), but naturally pulling a trigger to fire a gun feels more natural than pushing a pad.
Also the fact that you have to buy batteries or a battery charger for the 360 controller for extended play while you just have to plug ds 3 or six-axis into your ps3 for a short time to get longterm play is also a negative for the 360 controllers.

Why are you so negative against a console you own??
^because I've given it chance after chance to impress me and it has never measured up to SNES, PS1, PS2, original Xbox, PS3, or Dreamcast in my opinion. The only games I like on it are the Tomb Raiders, Bioshock, some of the other multiplats, and Geometry Wars.

God you must have a really weird taste in gaming....why don't you just stick with the PS3 if you hate it so much?

He edited in Bioshock...I guess that's better then Tomb Raider and Geometry Wars. x.o |
I don't think it is any better than the Tomb Raider games. I like Geometry Wars because it is the best simple yet addictive arcade shooter I've played since the eighties.

Geometry Wars just simply isn't my type of game. Tomb Raider is alright but I definitely would prefer bioshock to it almost any day of the week. x.o |
I like the atmosphere, story, and music in Bioshock. I think the Tomb Raider games are much better than most of their reviews (but Dave Halverson said Tomb Raider Underworld, which I haven't played yet, was his third favorite game of '08 in Play Magazine) and I think the stories in The Tomb Raider Games that I've played, especially in Legend, are good. GTA IV is a multiplayer I like. I got the 360 version for the dlc, but I haven't finished the main game yet (even though I still think its not overrated) or have any of the dlc either.
I like Assassin's Creed (but I bought a copy from Gamestop and got it home to find it out it wasn't in great shape (I now trust buying used games from ebay over buying used games from Gamestop).
I'm going to give Mass Effect another chance when I can find the double disc Platinum version (which seems hard to find), I have a version of Fallout 3: Collector's Edition which is supposed to be new and sealed headed my way from ebay, and I do think that other than Virtual Console Classics that Xbox Live Arcade is the best download service on the consoles.
I would give Splinter Cell Conviction a try but I haven't played a Splinter Cell since the first one.
Other third party games like Final Fantasy XIII, Bayonetta, The Saboteur, and Brutal Legend that I'm looking forward to are coming to 360.
Finally, I like achievements over trophies.

PS3 controller lack the weight, the analog stick has too much deadzone (it's crappy positioning doesn't help either) and let not start on those stubby little trigger. |
Not to argue against your opinion but Lack of weight on the PS3 controller? Have you held a DS3?
On, subject, I prefer the PS3 controller. Not that the X-box controller is bad but I played SF4 with a friend once and the d-pad near gave me a blister from 2 fights.
Hmm, pie.
