Forums - Microsoft - The PS3 related turmoil amongst 360 users

The OP has a point, I see a lot more kids whining in PS3 threads than PS3 fans in the 360 threads.

There was no AAA exclusive on 360 since last november, while the PS3 had Killzone 2, Infamous, Flower and MLB 09 so that could be the reason why, though (I mean there's no interesting thread to troll in the MS section anymore).

The other explanation could be that Xbox fans are generally younger, while older people mostly prefer the PS3. That's what I see with the people I know, at least. I must admit big men on steroids and power rangers FPS appeal definitely more to teens and kids. Natal or more diversity in future 360 games could change this reputation though and make the 360 more appealing for adults. (MS need games like Team Ico games, Heavy Rain or Flower...)

Killzone 2 isnt as good as Gears 2, Left 4 Dead, Infamous is good but not brilliant. They also shot themselves in the foot by inverting L/R camera, Flower doesn't have a demo so no way im going to waste money on such a fruity concept, MLB is a baseball game and they have a hard enough time convincing their own userbase to buy it. Hell im not even from the U.S.A so I don't care if it was considered the greatest sports game ever.

Did you see that article on the front page? Xbox 360 2:1 PS3 75K+ income bracket. For some reason Sony has more poor people on their side than wealthy people so there goes like a million stupid arguments about Xbox 360 price etc. Microsoft absolutely does not need more fruity niche games like Flower/Heavy Rain and Team ICO. Thats like saying that they need a game where you can rip someones head off.

Tease.

I beg to differ. The PS3 fans outnumber Xbox fans greatly on this forum, it's a well known fact. Also everysingle thread toting something new and great for the 360 some idiot has to come in there and try to spread crap about it. I see this far more in 360 threads than in PS3 threads. I can name three PS3 fanboys to every one 360 fanboy. You know what I can't get? Is why people can't be glad for their gaming brethren's good fortune.

Yay, another troll to the defense of MikeB.  I bet he's Mike's alt.

Anyways, it has been proven that higher income households prefer the Wii and the 360 over the PS3.  Hence, older and more money =/= PS3.

Also, of the games you listed, only Killzone 2 was classified as "AAA" since the others didn't make it to 90+ on Metacritic.

(I mean there's no interesting thread to troll in the MS section anymore).

You seem to have found this one easy enough, didn't you, troll?  And it doesn't have to be in the MS forum.  You basically add a jab at the 360 in every post you make in any thread.  It is really sad to see such immaturity coming from a PS3 fan who is supposed to be older and more mature

Are you the most recent Sony fanboy to join?

This entire post has zero truth and zero evidence to support it. And I have zero interest in any of the games you mentioned.

I'm a 24 yo educated male.

I'm not a fanboy, I just try to tip the balance in favor of logic and common sense.

I disagree, Killzone 2 is better than Gears 2 and Halo 3 for me. I found Gears 2 excellent in single player only, while Killzone 2 kills everything in multiplayer gameplay and graphics / sound (L4D is fun but graphics are really poor on this game...). At least everybody agrees KZ2 is the best in graphics anyway.

You can dismiss Infamous, but it still handily beats Prototype according to reviews. (I don't know what you mean with your L/R ?). Whatever you think there has been multiple 80+ exclusives on PS3 this year, and nothing on 360 as exclusives (Halo Wars maybe reached 80 on meta, though, I don't remember)

By the way, if you talk about sales, let me remind you that right now, PS3 and 360 sells roughly the same worldwide, while one costs twice more than the other, in the worst recession ever.

If that doesn't mean that people see a lot more value in PS3 than in 360, then I don't know what people need as proof. The fact PS3 was deeply outselling 360 worldwide before last september price cut confirms this fact.

The problem is always the same, Sony will always have much more exclusive content than MS every year since they have tons of talented studios, and MS has very few. MS needs to buy a lot more studios.

^^Wow... quoted 4 times now.

Here in Europe (Germany, France...) rich educated adults like me (I'm 34) prefer PS3. Nobody wants a 360, unless you don't have money to buy a PS3. In Japan it's the same. I know it seems different in the US though... That's why worldwide, they sell roughly the same.

Of course it's mainly rich people for PS3 and poor people for 360 since 360 is half the cost...

PS3 sells about 15% less each week, up slightly from the standard 20% it was at shortly following the holidays.

Also, the average sold price of the 360 is $290, or basically the Pro model, not the Arcade. So the PS3 is not "twice as expensive."

The reason the PS3 was outselling the 360 was because of many reasons:  Cheapest blu-ray player for a while, just had a price cut, 360 hadn't had a price cut in forever and was the same price as the PS3, MGS4 came out.

Also, I thought that the 360 costed more because you have to pay for XBL and all the necessary upgrades to get the full experience, so wouldn't it stand that the PS3 is actually selling less to the more expensive console?  Man that sucks! PS3 is doing bad!

MikeB get out of here

everyone on this site knows the truth about you anyways so stop making flaimbait / trolling threads please.

And why do you always make threads about the tech power of "TEH CELL" and how inferior DVD-9 is and all that? Don't you realize that both systems have been out for years now and this hasn't proved to be a selling point whatsoever? Face it the only people doing arguments over this stuff are tech geeks like most of the people on this site your average consumer doesn't care how powerful a system is, case in point the Wii.

@bolded

No shit sherlock Sony has been the leader for consoles for 2 generations before this one and MS entered last generation.

Even though MS just entered they are fast catching up to Sony and it took sony 2 generations to and being market leader to get here while MS is catching up i 1 and half generation by the end of this gen they will have caught up, if not all then most of the lead Sony had.

MS needs to buy because they just entered just like Sony bought everything they could when they entered, how is it a good thing when Sony did it and bad when MS did it?

Can you answer that Mike B mini me?
