Forums - Gaming - Castlevania and The Kojima effect

I think almost anyone can agree that with the success of the MGS series Kojima has crafted a name for himself and his studio. However, does anyone think that Kojima and his production team have enough talent, pedigree and dedication into turning the next Castlevania game into both a commercial and critically success?

Personally I'm going to go with a big fat yes. I think the fanboy hype alone will be enough to get this game past 1M copies sold and I think he has more then enough talent to produce a AAA Castelvania.

Black Women Are The Most Beautiful Women On The Planet.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

Much more hyped for this game then Rising.

I'm guessing there will be a two hour cut scene where Simon discusses with Dracula the nature of war and how it relates to satre's views of nihilism....it will also be awkward as hell, poorly written, and Dracula will repeat his lines every two minutes because he doesn't know how to end a fucking conversation.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

Fixed stop the trolling

Isn't he just supporting the developer or something?

I'm just happy this is being done to the red headed stepchild of Castlevania and not one of the real titles on the DS. Keep those coming Konami and don't let Kojima touch them. I have my fill of God of War when I play God of War. I don't need Castlevania turning into it also.

Tag: Became a freaking mod and a complete douche, coincidentally, at the same time.

I would love Kojima to be actively involved in the story, at least the cinematic direction, though it is my understanding they (Kojima Production) are only "helping"...whatever that means.

The trailer is one of the best i've seen for a videogame ever. This along with Metroid: OM were my megatons of E3

Castlevania was pretty excellent as an action platformer franchise. Ecclesia brings back a lot of those elements, come to think...

I'm excited for what Kojima can bring to the gameplay table, but I hope they keep him away from the script using all methods at their disposal.
