@Neos, it was probably a checkbox type of thing. Same person has multiple answers.

Too bad they didn't separate the Playstation answers.

Nintendo's strongest market is kids, nothing new.

Au contraire. The DS apparently is played "often" by more than FOUR OUT OF FIVE Japanese elementary school students [probable edit:  who are gamers]. That is ridiculous, and it's more than twice as much as the next highest number. That is new.

We all knew that Japan is halfway to adding the DS to its pantheon of gods, but this ... 82%!

My advice to fanboys: Brag about stuff that's true, not about stuff that's false. Predict stuff that's likely, not stuff that's unlikely. You will be happier, and we will be happier.

Here's a question: Why is the Game Boy Micro lumped in with GB Original rather than GB Advance?

So the 360 didn't even rank? Are they counting the VC as NES/SNES/Gen/N64 because I seriously doubt 15% of Japanese school kids play a Super Nintendo. That or the numbers below the top 5 are seriously skewed

These numbers might help you make a more informed comment:

126 million population Japan
48 million households Japan
17 million population under 15 years age Japan
17 million SNES sold in Japan
19 million NES sold in Japan

In the Western world kids don't want to play those old consoles and in Japan they still like it :s.

And more Saturn than DC :s?
